+<strong>SYNOPSIS</strong>
+    ping &lt;host&gt;
+
+<strong>DESCRIPTION</strong>
+    Sends 4 ICMP echo requests to the specified host and prints
+    the round-trip time for each reply.
+
+    The host may be an IP address or a hostname. Hostnames are
+    resolved via the configured DNS server.
+
+    Each request has a 3-second timeout. Requests are sent at
+    1-second intervals.
+
